Free tax preparation
available for seniors
For the 35th year, AARP will provide free tax
preparation services for senior citizens at area
senior centers and community centers from Sat-
urday,Feb.1,through April 15.
It is designed to help low-to moderate-
income taxpayers,especially
APRIL those over 60,but there are no
firm income or age restrictions,
said Wayne Cordell of the AARP
Tax-Aide program.Some taxpay-
ers with particularly complicated
returns may be asked to go to a
paid professional,he said.
House calls are available for taxpayers who
cannot visit a center because of health reasons.
