Hotel gets,
1
M-akeover
1
in Euless
The remodeled Ramada
will include new ameni-
ties, new interiors and a new
corporate affiliation.
The Ramada in Euless has nothing
inside it—no furniture,no wallcover-
ings,and best of all,no mold.
The hotel at 2155 Airport Freeway
has been in a state of disrepair since
July 2001 when storms flooded part of
the building,general
manager Roger
Shock said.That set
off a$S million
insurance claim and
crews of workers to
abate mold and
' ,fF asbestos problems.
The remodeling
Andrea Jares is expected to begin
BIZ BUZZ in mid-May,Shock
said.
That's not the
only thing that will be new when the
hotel opens next spring.Shock is look-
ing for a corporate partner for the fran-
chise because it will no longer be a
Ramada.
All of the franchises favor many of
the upgrades that will be made to the
hotel—a fitness and business center,
high-s 06ed Hemet service and
breakfast area.
"It's not only an opportunity and a
wish list,but it's almost a requirement
by any franchise that you talk to,"
Shock said. d have to meet their
specs."
