Art of Gambling-As you
may remember,I'm pretty
excited about the Euless
Library Foundation's current
project of commissioning
artist David Keens to create
the enormous work Blooms of
Enlightenment.The founda-
tion,headed by President
Lynn Adams of Euless,has
been raising money to fund
this glass-blown art piece that
eventually,will be installed in
the Euless Public Library's
south window.
It's going to be gorgeous,'
and all the people who drive
along Texas 183 will be able to
see it every day.Th6re's just
one teensy problem—money.
The goal is to raise the
$125,000 needed so the piece
can be installed in 2005.The
foundation's worker bees are
halfway there in their fund-
raising
und raising efforts,and they're still
working.
So Nov 6 has been set as
the foundation's fifth annual
Casino Night at the Texas Star
Conference Center in Euless.
The library supporters—
headed up by Adams and
Diane Porterfield—are look-
ing for sponsors to be listed at
publisher,editor,author and
reader levels(isn't that
clever?)for the event.If you
like libraries,art or both,call ,
(817)685-1679 or visit

tion.org to help.
