EULESS—Two people were
arrested Friday evening in con-
nection with an identity theft and
forgery investigation,police said.
Euless police used a warrant
to search a home in the 600

tity theft and forgery case,

How to calculate your property taxes
One of the least popular rites of fall is upon us:the mailing of property tax
bills.Homeowners are now receiving their bills,which must be paid by
Jan.31.Most homeowners pay their taxes along with their mortgage
payments. To help you better understand your taxes,the Star-Telegram
is providing information about how to estimate your tax bill.
Example:The average home value in Grapevine is$185,753.The
house is in Tarrant County and the'Grapevine-Colleyville school dis-
trict with a homestead exemption.
■First,find the value of your home
from the Tarrant Appraisal District: $185,753

Services will host Kidfish from 9
am. to noon Nov 13 at Wilshire
Park, 315 Sierra Drive. Kids will
hear a presentation on fishing,
conservation and respect for an-
glers and receive a"bachelor of an-
gling" degree before they toss in
their lines.
The event is free, and equip-
ment will be provided to those,
who need it.

Wilson to be municipal
:group's president-elect
HURST—Longtime Hurst
' Councilman Henry Wilson has
been named the 2005 presi-
dent=elect of the Texas Munici-
pal League:
Wilson, 58, is a past league
' president for Region VIII,which
includes Hurst,and he sits on
the league's board of directors.
An engineer with Bell Heli-
copter Textron,,Wilson said he
will address s0eral issues as
president-elect:
' "My biggest
concern is the
governor's plan
on ad valorem
tax reform,"he
said."I want to
monitor this
and ensure it's
not harmful to 13
cities." WILSON
Established in 1913,the
league is a voluntary associa-
' tion with 1,070 member cities.
Its primary purpose is to advo-
cate the interests of cities
throughout tfie state.
Wilson, serving-his 10th term
on the City Council,will be the
league's president-elect until
October 2005.
