Woman senteneed for
theft,money laundering
FORT WORTH-A former
Euless employee who pleaded'
guilty;to theft over$200,000
and money laundering was sen-
tenced Wednesday to two con-
current,10-yearsentences. ..
-State District Judge Scott
Wisch also ruled that once
Tammy Money is released on
' parole, she will have to begin
repaying more than$500,000
she owes the city of Euless. She
stole a total of$590,000,court
' records show.Authorities have
recovered$85,000 from Money's
.retirement fund and bank
account.
' Money,45,a former Euless
human resources risk administra-
tor,had hoped to be placed on
probation,but the district attor-
ney's office declined to make that
recommendation,Tarrant County
assistant district attorney David
Lobingier said.
' "She was a public servant who
broke the public trust,"Lobingier
said.
Money was indicted by a
grand jury in October on counts
of theft over$200,000 and
money laundering.She pleaded
guilty to the charges three
' months ago.The maximum sen-
tence for the theft charge is 99
years,under state law.
