1. Beautify Euless Everyday, otherwise referred to as B.E.E. , is a
sub-coamnittee of the Euless Parks and Recreation Board. All B.E.E.
members are volunteers and are not appointed.
2. B.E.E. holds its' regular meetings the third Monday of the month at
7:00 p.m. at the Simmons Senior Citizen Center. Meetings will be
conducted according to Roberts Rules of Order.
3. The B.E.E. annually elects officers in September for one year terms.
It's officers are as follows: Cozmnittee Chairperson
Committee Vice-Chairperson
Secretary/Treasurer
Historian
4. At each regular Euless Parks and Recreation Board Meeting (the first
Monday of each month), a B.E.E. Officer or Representative will
inform the Board as to its' undertakings. Each month a place will
be uniformly left on the Park and Recreation Board Agenda for this
briefing.
5. Each month the Parks and Recreation Board will receive a financial
statement of expenditures.
6. No expenditure of $500 may take place with out prior Euless Parks and
Recreation Board approval, and must conform to the City of Euless
Purchasing Regulations.
7. Formal minutes will be kept at each B.E.E. meeting and forwarded to the
Euless Parks and Recreation Board inwhich they will be incorporated into
the Parks and Recreation Board Minutes and passed on to the Euless City
Council, City Secretary's Office and other deemed Euless City Staff and
officals.
8. The B.E.E. Committee must submit an official line item budget, per
city of Euless regulations each year. This budget will contain
projects for the upcoming fiscal year (October thru September), and
must be submitted to the Parks Board who will approve the budget and
forward to the City Manager's office. This budget must be finalized and
delivered to the City Manager's office by June 15 for budget
consideration. The Director of amity Services will be available to
assist the Co muttee in the budget preparation, so that the Cormnittee
is well represented in the budgetary process.
9. The B.E.E. Cc mnittee, in the past, have adopted the following as
objectives:
Rducation, Waste-in-Place, Law Enforcement, Public Awareness,
Active Involvement, Adopt-An-Area Programs, Recycling,
Yard of the Month, Monthly Beautification Awards, Youth
Participation. The Parks and Recreation Board would like to
review new plans/projects as they develop for their approval. Thru
this approval process, the Parks and Recreation Board, can help
assist the B.E.E. Committee to attain their goals.
10. One of the most exciting part's of B.E.E.'s history is the success
they achieved in Keep Texas Beautifuls' "Govornors' Beautficiation
Program". The B.E.E. Committee should try to review the application
each year they are eligible and decide if the awards program is
to be one of their goals for that year.
11. Mien feasible, and when funds are available, the committee should try
to attend Keep Texas Beautiful events.
12. When feasible, and when funds are available, the ccemnittee should
try to attend the Keep Texas Beautiful Convention each year.
13. Appointed staff members of Parks and Leisure Services will assist the
Committee as to City and Park Board regulations.
The Euless Parks and Recreation Board strongly supports the B.E.E. program,
its, past history and numerous accomplishments. Euless is known statewide
for its' beautification programs. Working together, the city of Euless will
continue as one of Texas' shining gems, and one of the Dallas/Ft. Worth
Metroplex's finest addresses.
