COUNCIL AND STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT Panel members included Mayor Linda Martin, Mayor Pro Tem Tim Stinneford, and Council Members Eddie Price, Jeremy Tompkins, Linda Eilenfeldt, Harry Zimmer, Salman Bhojani, and city staff including City Manager Loretta Getchell, Deputy City Manager Bob Freeman, Assistant City Manager Chris Barker, Director of Finance Janina Jewell. City of Euless, Texas Town Hall Meeting June 14, 2018 Page 2 TOPICS OF DISCUSSION Deputy City Manager Bob Freeman introduced the panel. Finance Director Janina Jewell reviewed the mission and goals of the city as they relate to the budgeting process. She reviewed the city's revenue sources, expenditure considerations for FY 2019, water and wastewater rates, and debt obligations as well as the city's budget schedule. Assistant City Manager Chris Barker reviewed the capital improvement plan including recently completed projects, current projects, and future projects, including the public library renovation. At this time, attendees were given an opportunity to address questions to the City Council and city staff. Staff addressed questions from the audience related to plans to extend the reclaimed water line, road pavement quality and configuration, trail improvements at J.A. Carr Park, tax abatement policy, library renovation, Glade Parks development, Founders Park development, traffic concerns along Westpark Way, Gateway, Simmons Drive at Jones Drive, population growth, businesses on Main Street that were impacted by the highway reconstruction, and the possibility of adding a crossing guard at North Main and Mid Cities Boulevard, The Mayor and City Council expressed their appreciation to those in attendance for their questions and comments.
