CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT
MINUTES OF BOARD MEETING
August 18, 2000
CALL TO ORDER
A meeting of the Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD) Board was called to order
by President Ron Shields on Friday, August 18, 2000, at 8:07 a.m. in the Municipal Building
Conference Room, 201 North Ector Drive, Euless. Board members present included
Citizen Member Ron Shields, City Council Member Glenn Porterfield and City Secretary
Susan Crim. Pursuant to Texas Election Code Section 67.004, "Two members of the
authority constitute a quorum for purposes of canvassing an election."
APPROVAL. RESOLUTION NO. 00-05 CCPD
Upon motion by Council Member Glenn Porterfield and second by President Ron Shields,
Resolution No. 00-05 CCPD, canvassing the results of the August 12, 2000 election was
approved by unanimous vote.
The proposition on the ballot was as follows:
Whether the Euless Crime Control and Prevention District should be continued for twenty
(20) years and the Crime Control and Prevention District sales tax should be continued for
twenty (20) years at a rate of one-quarter of one percent.
The total number of voters was 420, with 229 voting early and 191 voting on election day.
There were 347 votes in favor of the proposition and 73 votes against the proposition.
ADJOURN
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:09 a.m.
