MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE
LIBRARY BOARD
THURSDAY, JUNE 7, 2018
ITEM NO. 1 CALLED TO ORDER
A regular meeting of the Mary Lib Saleh Euless Public Library Board was called to order by
Chairman Snitz at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018, in the Conference Room of the Library,
201 N. Ector Drive. Those present included Chairman Barney Snitz,Vice Chairman Allan Gibbs,
Board Members Jim Hamilton, Mike McGehee, Chris McAllister, and Alternate Leslie Kane.
Board Member Carol Kveck and Alternate Magen Brown were not present.

ITEM NO. 2 APPROVED LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES
Chairman Snitz asked for a motion to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held May 3,2018.
The motion was made by Board Member McGehee and seconded by Board Member Hamilton.
ITEM NO.3 WELCOMED VISITORS
Chairman Snitz welcomed all visitors present.
ITEM NO. 4 PRESENTED LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT
â Internet Safety Policy
Library Administrator Sherry Knight gave an overview of the current internet policy used at the
library.
â Collection and Remodel Update
Ms. Knight introduced the Circulation Supervisor, Carolyn Hoaldridge, to the board. Ms.
Hoaldridge presented updates on the transfer of materials and other progress at the temporary
Westpark Way location.

Ms. Knight gave an overview of the HEB Reads! Summer Reading Challenge and the
incorporation of the Think Tank mobile STEM unit in the summer reading program lineup.
ITEM NO. 5 REPORTS
Library Board Chairman
Chairman Snitz gave well wishes to those who recently had a birthday.
Chairman Snitz asked for a motion to cancel the regularly scheduled library board meeting in July.
Board Member McGehee made the motion and Vice Chairman Gibbs seconded.
Library Board Vice-Chairman
Vice Chairman Gibbs gave an update on the progress of the fundraising for the Euless Library
Foundation's (ELF's) latest art installation: the Bubble Wall.
Library Board Members
Board Member McGehee discussed an opportunity to donate books to children in Africa.
Board Member McGehee gave an update on ELF's plans for a library closing party at the end of
August as a fundraiser for the Bubble Wall.

None.
ITEM NO. 7 ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Snitz asked for a motion to adjourn. Board Member Gibbs made the motion and Board
Member Hamilton seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
