Dear Citizens,
I am pleased to
welcome back
Councilmember
Harry Zimmer
and welcome
new Council-
member Salman
Bhojani to the
Euless City
Council.
Mr. Zimmer is no stranger to
campaigning. He filled an unexpired
term of five months for
Councilmember Glenn Porterfield
after he passed away and then
turned around and campaigned
again. He worked hard during this
past election to make sure the
citizens of Euless know how much
he cares about our great city.
Speaking of working hard during
this past election, Mr. Bhojani’s
efforts, along with a strong
volunteer group, helped to make
this the third highest turnout in the
City's history. He is an active
volunteer for a variety of groups and
is looking forward to being able to
show our community how much he
loves calling Euless home.
They have both pledged to work
hard for Euless residents to make
sure we maintain a high service level
and great quality of life. The efforts
and passion both of these men have
shown for our great city make me
proud. Please help me in showing
both of them our appreciation.
Did you know...?

them stay calm.

Mosquito Spraying
The City of Euless partners with Tarrant County
to test mosquitos for illnesses. Once a week they
test for mosquito-borne illnesses, such as the West
Nile virus, Zika virus and the St. Louis
encephalitis virus. Periodic spraying for
mosquitos is then done in the areas that test
positive for infected mosquitos. Mosquito
spraying is typically done in the late evening
(after 10 p.m.), when most people are indoors.
Spraying is not performed during rainfall or when
wind speeds are 10 mph or greater. During the
spraying, you do not need to do anything special,
since the spray droplets falling on the ground
become inactive in just a few hours or with
sunshine (UV light).
The City of Euless can notify you by email if you
sign up for "Community Alerts" on eulesstx.gov/
MyEuless.htm. For questions or concerns
regarding mosquitos, please call Public Works at
817-685-1580.
