To facilitate the transition, the library will be closed from September 1 - 16 and will re-open at its temporary location on September 17. This is a Texas band with a giant British rock, to “barely blues” sound. Singer-songwriter Sean Russell, a proud resident of the Fort Worth music scene, formed the band three years ago with a group of much- lauded players from the area. September 11 Ceremony September 11, 9 a.m. 9/11 Memorial, Fire Administration 201 N. Ector Dr. Please join us for a ceremony to remember the lives of the heroes who were lost during the attack on our nation. The City of Euless is the proud owner of an artifact from the World Trade Center. The artifact is a 12-foot long, 6,000-pound steel beam from the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. This memorial sits in front of the Euless Fire Administration Building as a memorial to the thousands killed that tragic day. Airport Freeway The Child Safety Seat Task Force is providing free safety inspections to ensure your child safety seat is installed correctly and securely in your car. As many as 80 percent of all child safety seat restraints are improperly installed, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If you are unable to attend this event, you may contact the Euless Police Department for a free safety check. Many Euless Police Officers are certified in the Child Safety Seat restraint system and will provide free inspections throughout the year by appointment. Please call 817-685-1686 to make an appointment. Trinity GAP Club Fall Pet Fair Saturday, September 29 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Trinity High School 500 N. Industrial Blvd. The Trinity High School GAP Club’s Fall Pet Fair is the largest event and fundraiser for the Euless Animal Shelter. The event will provide low-cost vaccinations and microchipping until 1 p.m., along with professional dog photos, dog bathing and nail trimming. In addition, local vendors will be selling crafts and dog gear. The Euless Animal Shelter will have cute dogs and cats available for adoption. You can visit www.TrinityGapRescue.org website anytime for adoptable pets. ECPAAA BBQ Fundraiser Saturday, September 29, 6 - 9 p.m. Euless Senior Center 300 W. Midway Drive The Euless Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (ECPAAA) is hosting a fundraising event to benefit the Euless Police Department. The event will be a BBQ Dinner, Mini Live Auction, Dine ‘N Dash and Pick ‘N Play. Ticket Prices: $15 –Ages 11 to Adult; $5 – Ages 5 to 10; Free – Under 5. Trained technicians teach participants how to make their personal vehicle “fit” them by reviewing 12 key areas such as steering wheel tilt and placement, safety positioning of mirrors, properly adjusted head restraints, and line of sight, etc. This is not a driving test or mechanical inspection.
