Mayor Martin called the worksession to order at 8 : 30 a . m . at the Texas Star Conference
Center in Euless , Texas .
Those present included :

City Manager Loretta Getchell welcomed everyone and reviewed the topics to be covered .
Library Renovation
Library Administrator Sherry Knight presented an updated related to the proposed library
remodel , including funding sources and the construction timeline . She advised that
construction is expected to begin November 2018 and complete by January 2020 with a
library reopening in March 2020 . She further advised of the plan to utilize the former fire
station on Westpark Way as the temporary library site , and presented the proposed
changes to the library hours to better service the patrons .
P arks Master Plan
P arks and Community Services Director Ray McDonald presented the consultants vision
for the Parks Master Plan specifically related to Carr , Kiddie Carr, Wilshire , and South
E uless Parks and the Parks and Texas Star , including softball facilities . Additionally , he
presented a tentative timeline to complete each project .
Capital Improvement Plan
Assistant City Manager Chris Barker reviewed the Capital Improvement Plan projects ,
including , street reconstruction , reclaimed water, and water wells rehabilitation , wayfinding
sign program , Ash Lane/Fountain Park drainage study .
The City Council recessed briefly for lunch at 11 : 56 p . m . and reconvened the worksession
at 12 : 26 p . m .

FY 2017-2018 Financial Update
Finance Director Janina Jewell presented FY 2017-2018 year to date financial update .
FY 2018- 19 Budget Considerations — All Funds
City Manager Getchell presented the FY 2018-2019 budget considerations , and Finance
Director Jewell reviewed the 2018-2109 budget meeting schedule .
Development Update
Assistant City Manager Barker presented the development update .
Mayor Martin expressed her appreciation to the City Council for their attendance .
The worksession was adjourned at 2 : 10 p . m .
