Parks and Leisure Services Board
May 7, 2018
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Parks and Leisure Services Board was called to order at 6:58 p.m. on
Monday, May 7, 2018 in the Council Chambers of the Euless City Hall building by Chairman Randy
Jones. Other Board Members present: John Raab, Steve Doty, Jason Reyes, Salman Bhojani and
Mohib Nawab. Members absent: Tiffany Smith and Roger Sickler.
Staff members present: Parks Manager Terry Boaz, Recreation Manager Frank Ocampo and
Administrative Secretary Jordan Peterson.
Visitors present: None.
INVOCATION
Mr. Sickler gave the invocation.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairman Jones asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes from the April 2,
2018 regular meeting. Mr. Doty made the motion to approve the minutes as presented and was
seconded by Mr. Raab. The vote was unanimous.

II. Business of the Tree Board
Tree Board Chairman Jason Reyes reported the following for April:
a. Total man hours for April 1-30 = 995
• 448.00 Horticulture
• 364.00 Forestry
• 52.00 Greenhouse
• 83.00 Special Projects
• 48.00 Training
y Gave away over 1500 trees this year at Arbor Daze.
Y Trimmed trees at McCormick Park at west end.
➢ Trimmed trees at Midway Park for Arbor Daze.
Planted 21 trees in cooperation with Rotary Club.
Fertilized new trees and Crepe Myrtles on Medians.
y Trimmed dead out of Red Tips at West park Drive entrance.
r= Trimmed tress at Fire Administration for fire truck entry.
II. Staff Report— Frank Ocampo
• Updated board on funded projects for FY18
Ill. Staff Report—Terry Boaz
• Trail maintenance/upgrade at Bob Eden and McCormick Park
IV. Other New Business
Chairman Jones made a motion to move the meeting start time to 6 pm. Mr. Reyes denied the
motion, and requested to keep the meeting at 7 pm. A unanimous vote concluded the meeting
time will remain at 7 pm.
V. Input from City Council Members and Visitors
No input or comments.
ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Jones gave the benediction. There being no further business to conduct, the meeting
was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
