HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-95 1995-01-04 EULESS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION RESOLUTION NO. 04-95 A RESOLUTION RELATING TO A PUBLIC HEARING HELD ON UNDERTAKING AND EXPENDING FUNDS FOR A RECREATIONAL PROJECT INVOLVING THE ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR POTENTIAL ATHLETIC COMPLEX AND GOLF COURSE FACILITIES; AND RESOLVING OTHER MATTERS INCIDENT AND RELATED THERETO. WHEREAS, the Secretary of the Euless Development Corporation caused to be published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on December 30, 1994, a notice of a public hearing to be held January 4, 1995, by the Board of Directors of Corporation on the question of undertaking and expending funds for a recreational project involving the acquisition of land for potential athletic complex and golf course facilities (the "Project"); and WHEREAS, such public hearing was held on the date and at the time and place stated in said notice, and all persons present at such public hearing were invited to testify and state their position on whether the Corporation should undertake and expend funds for the Project; and WHEREAS, six persons testified in favor of the Project and no persons testified against the Project, the Board of Directors hereby finds and determines that the Corporation should undertake and expend funds for said Project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Euless Development Corporation: that a recreational project involving the acquisition of land for potential athletic complex and golf course facilities is hereby approved and authorized, and funds of the Corporation in the sum of approximately $2.7 million are hereby authorized and approved to be expended for said Project. Furthermore, the acts of the Secretary of the Corporation in causing notice of the public hearing on said Project to be published in the Fort Worth Star Telegram on December 30, 1994, are hereby approved, ratified and confirmed in all respects.
