WORK SESSION OF THE
EULESS CITY COUNCIL
August 4, 2018
A work session of the Euless City Council was called to order at 8 : 35 a . m . on
S aturday , August 4 , 2018 , at the Texas Star Golf Course and Conference Centre ,
1400 Texas Star Parkway , Euless , Texas , for the purpose of discussing the
proposed annual budget and related items for Fiscal Year 2018-2019 .
Those attending included :

Council Member Salman Bhojani , Place 6

Mayor Martin opened the meeting and welcomed everyone in attendance .
City Manager Getchell opened the floor for any discussion or questions related to
the budget presented at the August 2 , 2018 worksession , and reminded the City
Council of the budget adoption schedule , including meetings of the Euless
Development Corporation and a special called City Council meeting .
D iscussion ensued regarding the proposed water and wastewater rates charged
by the Trinity River Authority and the possibility of the rates increasing .
Assistant City Manager Barker presented and highlighted a few of the Capital
projects , including street projects , reclaimed water line , the city' s water well
rehabilitation plan , and improvements at Carr Park and the Parks at Texas Star,
including the softball facilities .
City Secretary Sutter presented the timeline to conduct a renewal election for the
Crime Control and Prevention District .
City Secretary Sutter presented the proposed changes to the annual Board and
Commission application and appointment process .

Additionally , staff and the City Council discussed the following items :
o Library renovation project , including construction timeline
o Wayfinding signs
o Development update
o Proposed election polling site location
Although a closed session was included on the agenda for discussion , a closed
session was not held .

Section 551 . 072 of the Texas Government Code :
o Euless Gardens
Mayor Martin adjourned the worksession at 2 : 02 p . m .
