A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, APPROVING A
CHAPTER 380 AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF
EULESS AND PROPERTY OWNER LARRY SMITH FOR PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 1101 N. MAIN STREET, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, Chapter 380 of the Texas Local Government Code provides that
Texas municipalities may create programs to promote local economic development; and
WHEREAS, Euless has approved a grant funding program as an incentive to
encourage new development and redevelopment projects that will promote local
economic development and stimulate business and commercial activity in the city.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS,THAT:
SECTION 1
The Euless City Council hereby finds that the Agreement by and between the
City of Euless and the Property Owner Larry Smith, embodies an eligible "program" and
clearly promotes economic development in the City of Euless, Texas and, as such,
meets the requisites under Chapter 380 of the Texas Local Government Code and
further, is in the best interest of the City.
SECTION 2
The Euless City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute an Agreement
by and between the City of Euless and Property Owner Larry Smith for property located
at 1101 N. Main Street, Euless, Texas.
APPROVED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on the 11th day of
October 2011, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
