III. Business of the Tree Board
Tree Board Chairman Ebert said the Parks Department spent the month of August watering trees in

Tree Board Vice-Chairman Miller also was very upset and disturbed that Park Board was not able
to review the ordinance before being heard by the City Council. He said Board Members spent
many hours working on this ordinance and the Park Board inquired monthly as to the status of the
Tree Ordinance.
Mr. Daniel mentioned he was also disappointed that the draft ordinance never came back to the
Park Board for review before going to City Council and being denied. He felt the Board Members
should have at least been notified that the ordinance was going before the City Council so they
could have been present and given their input.
Chairman Owens said he feels the Tree Board is a viable and important board.
