MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE
LIBRARY BOARD
THURSDAY, MARCH 7, 2019
ITEM NO. 1 CALLED TO ORDER
A regular meeting of the Euless Public Library Board was called to order by Chairman Snitz at
7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2019, in the Board Room of the Library, 1100 Westpark Way.
Those present included Chairman Barney Snitz,Vice Chairman Allan Gibbs, Board Members Jim
Hamilton, Mike McGehee, and Leslie Kane. Board Member McAllister was not present.

Sherry Knight, Library Administrator
Mollie Snapp, Administrative Assistant
VISITORS
No visitors present.
ITEM NO. 2 APPROVED LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES
Chairman Snitz asked for a motion to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held February 7,
2019. The motion was made by Board Member McGehee and seconded by Board Member
Hamilton.
ITEM NO. 3 WELCOMED VISITORS
No visitors present.
ITEM NO. 4 PRESENTED LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT
❖ Construction Update
Ms. Knight gave an update on the progress of the construction of the library explaining that the
spray foaming insulation was completed and that framing and concrete would soon begin.
❖ Classes & Events Update
Ms. Knight gave an overview of past and present classes and events including "Book Madness,"
"Springtime on the Plaza" at Glade Parks, "STEMtastic Stations" using the HEB Reads! Think
Tank and the location where AARP is holding tax assistance this year during the remodel.

Library Board Chairman
Chairman Snitz urged Board Members to suggest interested parties to apply for the two open
Library Board positions.
Chairman Snitz discussed past events for volunteers and residents in the City of Euless in the past
week.
Library Board Vice-Chairman
Vice Chairman Gibbs spoke of the great experience he had Tuesday night when he went to hear
the author of All the Light We Cannot See.
Library Board Members
Board Member McGehee talked about the Euless Library Foundation's progress on their
GoFundMe page to raise funds for the Bubble Wall.

None.
ITEM NO. 7 ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Snitz asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Board Member McGehee
and seconded by Vice Chairman Gibbs. The meeting was adjourned at 7:23 p.m.
