NEW BUSINESS
I.
REPORT BY COUNCILMAN BOBBY BAKER
Councilman Baker said that the city council has considered doing two
memorials -- one for Blackie Sustaire and one for Bob Eden. Discussion has
been held on a Blackie Sustaire memorial -- possibly putting a berm in front
of the Police Department with a flag and having it lit. Another possibility
would be to name the Police Department building after Mr. Sustaire.
Discussion for the Bob Eden memorial has centered around perhaps naming
something at Bear Creek Park after him. A fountain has also been suggested.
Councilman Baker asked the Park Board to look into this matter and perhaps
make some recommendations to the council. Leon said the board has a work
session scheduled soon and they will look into this then.
