NEW BUSINESS
I.
INPUT FROM DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY SERVICES
Mr. Jay Heilman reported that the new recreation center is running approximately
two weeks to one month behind schedule.
The City has proclaimed the week of January 16-20 as Arbor Week. Mr. Bob
Phillips will be giving pecan trees to all the fourth graders in the area. This
is the 10th year he has been involved in this project(he has distributed
approximately 4,000 trees). For our publicity on this, we would like to find
someone who is ten years out of the 4th grade, that planted one of the trees and
the tree is still growing. That way we could compare the old and the new.
The BEE Committee did not meet the month of December. The Burm is approximately
95% complete for the grant, they will be putting grass around it this week.
