Midway Dr. Basketball athletes, it’s time to create your team and register for Euless’ basketball mini season. Sign up today, because space is limited. Each team gets six regular season games, plus playoffs. Games occur on Saturday nights beginning at 6:00, 7:00 or 8:00. Each team may have up to 12 players per roster and will need to supply like-colored game jerseys with legal basketball numbers affixed on the front and back. This league is limited to the first six teams that register and submit a deposit. You must be at least 16 years of age at the time of registration. The cost is $245 per team. One lucky person will win a free compost bin at each presentation. Each year, nearly four million tons of yard trimmings are thrown away in Texas. That amounts to almost 20 percent of all trash in municipal landfills. Backyard composting helps us use natural techniques to decompose organic material and return them to the soil. Composting can also help you save money on expensive fertilizers and pesticides, which also helps to keep those chemicals from washing into our lakes, streams and underground water.
