COMMENTS
Mr. Heilman stated he had been asked
why the City of Euless doesn' t sponsor a jogging club; the City of Hurst
and Arlington have one.
Mr. Morgan stated he did not know of an
organized jogging group or club in Euless, however, he would be glad to
help organize a club or provide the facilities.
Mr. Morgan stated in reference to the
newspaper coverage on the jogging trail last month, the photographer did
take a picture, but the coverage was not as good as he had hoped for.
(Paqe Three, Regular Meeting, Park and Recreation Board, January 8, 1979)
Mr. Owens stated that he had noticed
the South Euless Park sign which is near the South Euless Elementary School
is in a bad location and might possibly make it difficult for someone
to find the park.
Mr. Morgan stated there were two plans
on the sign; to place it on school property, which they were not in favor
of, or place it at the present location. The sign could not be made larger
because of the guy wire that is above it.
Mrs. Stierwalt stated she had received
some inquires about some type of seating on the west side of the pool at
South Euless Park, for mothers to sit and watch their children.
Mr. Morgan stated there are two tables
on the inside of the pool area where people can sit, however, there is
not a complete view of the pool .
Mr. Owens inquired about the creek
at Carr Park.
Mr. Morgan stated some debris still
comes from Little Bear Creek when it rains but the problem has improved.
He stated he had been in contact with the gas company and there is a
chance the two gas lines that catch the trash, can be moved. He stated
the bridge can be raised about two feet above the ground level and the
trash can pass on down the creek.
