Parks and Leisure Services Board
April 1, 2019
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Parks and Leisure Services Board was called to order at 6:59 p.m. on
Monday, April 1, 2019 in the Council Chambers of the Euless City Hall building by Chairman Randy
Jones. Other Board Members present: John Raab, Steve Doty, Roger Sickler, Magen Brown, Jason
Reyes and Isha Sharma. Members absent: Kay Seeger.
Staff members present: Director of Parks and Community Services Ray McDonald, Parks Manager
Terry Boaz, and Administrative Secretary Jordan Peterson.
Visitors present: Irma Reyes
INVOCATION
Randy Jones gave the invocation.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairman Randy Jones asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes from the
March 4, 2019 regular meeting. Mr. Doty made the motion to approve the minutes as presented
and was seconded by Mr. Raab. The vote was unanimous.
I. Board Member Reports
a. Isha Sharma —Blessing Branch & Midway: No items to report.
b. Magen Brown —J.A. Carr & Kiddie Carr: No items to report.
c. Kay Seger— Preserve & Mcormick: Not present.
d. Jason Reyes-VOBC & Reflection: No items to report.
e. Randy Jones—S. Euless & Heritage: Reported on repainting of splash pad.
f. Roger Sickler—Westpark & Wilshire: Bleachers need replacing at Westpark.
g. John Raab— Bob Eden &Trailwood: No items to report.
h. Steve Doty— Parks at Texas Star: No items to report.

III. Business of the Tree Board
Tree Board Chairman Jason Reyes reported the following for February:
a. Total man hours for March 1-31 = 814
• 394.00 Horticulture
• 66.00 Forestry
• 84.00 Greenhouse
• 257.00 Special Projects
• 13.00 Training
y Trimmed trees at J. A. Carr park.
y Trimmed trees at Dog Park.
Trimmed trees along trail at Villages of Bear Creek Park.
Removed limbs in parks due to storms.
Removed trees at Texas Star Golf Course.
IV. Directors Report— Ray McDonald
• Update on dog park upgrades
• Update on Carr Park renovations
• Update on Wilshire pool
Chairman Randy Jones thanked staff for their report.

VI. Input from City Council Members and Visitors
Mr. Dahlen provided thank you notes from fellow dog park users to the board.
ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Jones gave the benediction. There being no further business to conduct, the meeting
was adjourned at 7:26 p.m.
