SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE MEETING
MEETING OF MARCH 7, 2019

The Teen Court Advisory Board of the cities of Hurst, Euless and Bedford, Texas met at
4:00 p.m. at Bedford City Hall, Conference Room Upstairs, on the 7th day of March 2019 with the
following members present.
HURST: Bien Camungol
EULESS: Robin, Edwards, Renu Sloan
BEDFORD: Kathleen Toms
HEB Teen Court Coordinator —Mindy Eichorst
CALL TO ORDER
Advisory Board Chairperson Kathleen Toms called the meeting to order at 4:07 p.m. with a
quorum of four Board Members present.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Review, evaluate and discuss HEB Teen Court Teen Volunteer Scholarship
applications.
Four Teen Court applicants were reviewed by the following Advisory Board Members: Chairperson
Kathleen Toms, Vice -Chairperson Bien Camungol, Renu Sloan, and Robin Edwards. Teen Court
Volunteers who submitted scholarship applications were the following teens: Jennifer Wei, Trinity High
School, Jasmine Glasford, L.D. Bell High School, Kiran Sagani, Colleyville Heritage High School, and
Neesha Sagani, Trinity High School,
The Advisory Board Members made a unanimous decision to award all four teen recipients with $1,500
scholarships for a total of $6,000 to be presented at the HEB Teen Court Scholarship Gala on April 11,
2019.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
