EULESS ANIMAL SHELTER ADVISORY BOARD
March 13, 2019
ITEM 1 - CALL TO ORDER
A regular meeting of the Euless Animal Shelter Advisory Board was called to order byDirector of Public_Workl and Engineering Hal Cranor at il:32 A.M. at the City of EulesiPublic works Facility, 1513 westpark way, Eutess, Texas 16040.
The following members were in attendance:

ITEM 2 - REVIEW & APPROVE MEETING MINUTES FROM SEPTEMBER 12, 2018
Director Cranor asked if there were any comments or questions regarding the minutes ofSeptember 12,2018. With no questions or comments, the minuies were accepted aswritten.
ITEM 3 - UPDATE ON GAP
Ms. Vela reported that Trinity GAP has been approved as a 501c Organization and thatthey now microchip_all dogs_that go out from the shelter. On 3/1g thEy will be having afund raiser at Red Barn BBQ, where 1Oo/o of the proceeds will go to GAp. GAp Walk-A-Thon to be held on 4127.ln lieu of the Pet Fair, on gl28 Gap wiii hold an adoption event,pet fair, and bizarre at the Euless Animal Shelter which will include dog bathing and TCApparticipation.

ITEM 4. QUARTERLY REPORT
Composite of quarterly calls for service were distributed along with case statistics per
species. Specifics of the case statistics were discussed including an increase in animals
at large calls, a decrease in noise complaint calls, and a decrease in cat euthanasias.
ITEM 5. SHELTER / FACILITY UPDATE
ACO Supervisor Atkinson reported the following:. ACO Kraft updated his euthanasia license and 2 ACOs were added as stand-by
personnel.o Treetops kindergarten class raised $280 plus donations, a young girl raised
donations for her 8th birthday, and a Girl Scout troop raised donations for the
Shelter.r Gave a tour to a Cub Scout Pack and explained shelter operations.o Shelter passed their recent State inspection, will be expanding the parking lot, and
hiring a part-time employee to work Saturdays.
ITEM 6 - QUESTIONS / COMMENTS
Director Cranor mentioned that it is budget time so if there are any items GAP has
requested, please advise. Ms. Vela mentioned getting something of a heavier gauge
along the fence in the dog are to prevent them from "fence fighting". Ms. Brown from Mid-
Cities Community Cats mentioned that they are also a 501c(3) organization and that
MCCC has spayed / neutered 275 cats so far this year. Director Cranor asked if there
were any further questions or comments pertaining to the meeting. No questions were
indicated.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:56 A.M.
