COUNCIL AND STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT
Panel members included Mayor Linda Martin, Mayor Pro Tern Jeremy Tompkins, and
Council Members, Tim Stinneford, Perry Bynum, Salman Bhojani, and city staff including
City Manager Loretta Getchell, Deputy City Manager Bob Freeman, and Assistant City
Manager Chris Barker. Council Member Harry Zimmer was absent due to a prior
commitment.
Staff members present included Deputy City Secretary Lindsay Wells, Police Chief Mike
Brown, Information Services Director Scott Joyce, Library Director Sherry Knight, Fleet and
Facility Director Kyle McAdams, Parks and Community Services Director Ray McDonald,
Director of Finance Janina Jewell, Fire Chief Wes Rhodes, Texas Star General Manager
Glenda Hartsell-Shelton, Fire Marshal Paul Smith, Police Sergeant Rocky Fimbres, Police
Corporal James Gordon, Police Lieutenant Wayne Pavlik, Senior Police Officer Robert
Bryan, Senior Police Officer Chris White, Code Inspector Chris Courtney, Code Inspector

TOPICS OF DISCUSSION
Deputy City Manager Bob Freeman introduced the panel.
Attendees were given an opportunity to address questions to the City Council and city
staff.
Staff addressed questions from the audience related to road pavement quality and
configuration, library renovation, parking improvements at J.A. Carr Park, Glade Parks
development, Founders Park development, road construction and revenue cap
legislation.
Director of Planning and Economic Development Mike Collins presented a Development
update and advised of Glade Parks construction, Harwood Road and State Highway (SH)
360 expansion, Founders Parc, hotel developments, residential developments, and a
recently approved Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District (HEB ISD)
elementary school along International Drive.
Assistant City Manager Chris Barker reviewed the capital improvement plan including
recently completed, current, and future projects, including the State Highway (SH) 121
Mobility project, as well as road and waterline projects.
The Mayor and City Council expressed their appreciation to those in attendance for their
questions and comments.
