HomeMy WebLinkAbout2019-06-18 CITY OF EULESS PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION JUNE 18, 2019 MINUTES PLANNING AND ZONING CONSIDERATION OF SCHEDULED ITEMS — COUNCIL CHAMBERS A regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission was called to order by Chairman Richard McNeese at 6:30 p.m. on June 18, 2019 in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 201 North Ector Drive, for consideration of scheduled items. Those present included Chairman Richard McNeese, Vice Chairman LuAnn Portugal, and Commission Members: Curtis Brown, Ronald Dunckel, and Eric Owens. STAFF PRESENT: Mike Collins, Director of Planning and Economic Development Stephen Cook, Senior Planner Jeanne Flores, Administrative Secretary VISITORS: None INVOCATION Commissioner Owens gave the invocation. THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Commissioner Brown led the pledge of allegiance. ITEM 1. APPROVED PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES Commissioner Dunckel made a motion to approve the minutes for the regular meeting of May 21 , 2019. Vice Chairman Portugal seconded the motion. The vote was as follows: Ayes: Chairman McNeese, Vice Chairman Portugal and Commission Members: Brown, Dunckel, and Owens. Nays: None Abstention: None Chairman McNeese declared the motion carried. RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OF CONVEYANCE PLAT CASE NO. 19- 07-FP Senior Planner Stephen Cook gave a brief description of the case. The conveyance plat is a process in which undeveloped property may be platted for the sale of property without the development requirements of public infrastructure. The conveyance plat will not allow development on the parcels created, but a subsequent replat of the property in association with a site plan will allow development. The plat intends to create two developable lots which may be addressed from W. Euless Boulevard and S. Pipeline Road respectively. The Development Services Group (DSG) has reviewed and certified the application has met all of the information required for consideration by the City of Euless. Staff recommends approval of the conveyance plat. There were no questions or comments presented by the Commission. Commissioner Owens made a motion to approve Case No. 19-07-FP for a Conveyance Plat to be located on 6.191 acres out of the John A. Groves Survey Abstract No 599, Tracts 1 C1A, 3E, 3H and 3J to be platted as Brooking Press Addition Block A, Lots 1 and 2; located at 2800 Block of W. Euless Boulevard. Commissioner Brown seconded the motion. The vote was as follows: Ayes: Chairman McNeese, Vice Chairman Portugal and Commission Members: Brown, Dunckel, and Owens. Nays: None Abstention: None Chairman McNeese declared the motion carried. (5-0-0) ITEM 3. ADJOURN There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m. C airman Richard McNeese Date
