Chairman Mike McGehee called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m.
DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES: The Chairman asked for a motion to be made to accept the September
2, 2010 minutes. Priscilla Cauley made the motion to accept the minutes and Beverly Leake seconded the
motion.
WELCOME VISITORS: Chairman Mike McGehee and Library Administrator, Kate Lyon welcomed LuAnn
Portugal, Councilman Leon Hogg and Jan Hogg, soon to be appointed Library Board member Allan Gibbs and
TCC student Desiree Hartman to the meeting.
REPORT FROM THE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR:
Kate presented the statistics. Statistics are up again and especially from October 2009.
Kate Lyon announced that Librarian, Donna Gooch, was selected as Employee of the Month for October.
The"Food for Fines"drive started November 1, 2010 and ran through November 7, 2010 with the proceeds
going to 6 Stones. For each can donated $1.00 is marked off the account for late fees only. A total of 755 cans
of food were donated. 6 Stones was thrilled with the donations.
Flutasia will perform on Monday,November 29 at 7:00pm in front of Blooms of Enlightenment.
Kate invited the board to look at the bulletin board behind the Circulation Desk. Marilyn Johnston has put
together a"Guess The Book" contest.
Kate asked Karan to report on"Night of Wonder"that the city and employees are involved in for this holiday
season.
Kate reminded the board that the Boards and Commissions Dinner will be on February 7, 2011 at the Texas
Star.
DISCUSSIONS:
1. Mike McGehee reminded the board they can give Kate their$38.00 payment for the tile and checks
should be made payable to the Euless Library Foundation.
2. There will be a regular scheduled Library Board Meeting on Thursday, December 2 at 7:00p.m.
3. Priscilla Cauley shared with the board how much she had enjoyed being involved with such a great
group of people. She will be serving on the Teen Court Board starting January 1, 2011.
4. Adriane Weinstein thanked the board for the card and flowers she received while in the hospital.

CITIZEN INPUT:
LuAnn Portugal commented on our beautiful library.
Desiree Hartman thanked the board for letting her observe a Library Board Meeting for her government
Allan Gibbs shared personal and professional information with the board. He is looking forward to being a part
of the Library Board.
Councilman Hogg commented on:
1. Sales Tax
2. New Senior Center
3. Upcoming City Council and Mayor elections
ADJOURNMENT:
The Chairman asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Marcia Brown and seconded by
Adriane Weinstein. The meeting was adjourned at 7:58 p.m.
