DISCUSSIONS:
1. The Board members had many suggestions on the size, cost and selection of a tile for the art project. It was
decided that Kate Lyon and Betty Fuller would take the Library Board suggestion for a tile to the next ELF Art
Committee meeting, and there would be further discussion at the April 1, 2010 Library Board Meeting.
2. Mike McGehee reports that the Euless Library Foundation is in a good financial position with the tile project, and
that 85%of the tiles have been purchased.
3. Barney Snitz was very pleased with the Boards and Commissions Dinner. The program was very well presented
and entertaining.
4. Chris McAllister inquired on the status of the guards. Leon Hogg shared with the board that Chief Brown and
Gary McKamie are looking into shirts for the guards.
5. Barney inquired about the status of Euless being listed in Dallas/Fort Worth&Beyond.
CITIZEN INPUT:
Councilman Hogg reported back to the Board on the status of the magazine Dallas/Fort Worth&Beyond. He reports it is
very costly to be included in this publication. The hotels in Bedford and North East Mall in Hurst sponsor those cities. At
this time the hotels in Euless struggle with low occupancy and are unable to sponsor Euless in the magazine. Councilman
Hogg reports that the signs are up for Comp USA and that this will be a fabulous store. Aldi is still scheduled to open in
May.
LuAnn Portugal inquired about tax forms. Kate reported back to her that we have all forms available for the public, and
that AARP is here on Tuesdays and Saturdays through April 13,2010 to offer free tax service. Appointments are being
handled at the Reference Desk.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Chairman asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Beverly Leake and seconded by Betty Fuller. The
meeting was adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted
