Chairman Mike McGehee called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m.
DISPOSITION OF THE MINUTES: The Chairman asked for a motion to be made to accept the May 7,2009 minutes.
Barney Snitz made the motion to accept the minutes and Marcia Brown seconded the motion.
WELCOME VISITORS: Chairman Mike McGehee and Library Administrator,Kate Lyon welcomed LuAnn Portugal
and Denise Miles to the meeting.
REPORT FROM THE LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR:
Kate reports that statistics continue to be outstanding.
Masterworks Programs: We had 93 attend the Three Fools on Three Stools program. The next program is June 15 in
the Meeting Room with the Rose Marine Theatre presenting"The Mighty Lizard"which is suitable for all ages.
Summer Reading Club: SRC starts on June 8. The Youth Department opens the summer program with"Miki the
Monkey." Donna Gooch has put together some wonderful prizes for the drawing at the end of the Adult Summer Reading
Program.
Saltwater Paradise Aquarium Service was referred to the library by a patron. Miguel,the owner,offered a complimentary
cleaning to show us his process. The results were very impressive and they are our new aquarium maintenance company.
DISCUSSIONS:
1. The Library Board decided to not have a regularly scheduled meeting in July.
2. Mike McGehee was very impressed with statistics and the great service the library gives to the community.
3. Barney Snitz announced that this would be the last meeting for Denise Miles. She will be moving to Canada at
the end of the month.
4. Barney Snitz reports that the Library Foundation tile project is still doing very well,and ELF is hoping to have the
project completed and installed by late 2010.
5. Marcia Brown reports that school is out. The Veteran's Memorial was a huge success and the Euless Fire
Department presented the colors for the opening the service.

CITIZEN INPUT:
LuAnn Portugal reports that she is so amazed and impressed at the numbers on the statistical report. She is equally
impressed on how the staff deals with the number of patrons and the number of items they check in and out daily.
Denise Miles is always impressed with the library and the services we offer to the public. She will miss being a part of
the community.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Chairman asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Barney Snitz and seconded by Chris McAllister.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
