ANIMAL SHELTER ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES
APRIL 4, 1994
The Euless Animal Shelter Advisory Board met on April 4, 1994 at Harrigan's Restaurant at
1501 Airport Freeway, Bedford, Texas 76021 at 11:34 A.M.
Those in attendance were Max Ficken, Warren Cox, Karen Hanvey and Eldred Pruitt. The
agenda had been properly posted in accordance with applicable law.
A new chlorine cleaning system has been installed at the shelter. It appears that it will save us
several hundred dollars per year in reduced chemical purchases.
The hours of operation at the shelter are 11:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M., Monday through Friday and
10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. on Saturday.
A new volunteer program and educational program has been initiated by the Animal Control
Officers and we have set up an account to receive donations for animal shelter activities.
Other topics such as Loved and Lost Counseling, Bedford Volunteer Program, and Rabies Update
were also discussed.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:50 P.M. and Karen Hanvey was escorted to the Animal Shelter
for an orientation tour.
