ANIMAL SHELTER ADVISORY BOARD �/
Minutes
October 7, 1998
Present: Warren Cox, Max Ficken, D.V.M., Clyde Cullum, Kim Peckler
Absent: Tracey Stephens
Call to Order
A meeting of the Animal Shelter Advisory Board was called to order at 9:00 a.m. at the
Euless Animal Shelter.
Discussion
Discussion took place regarding an air circulation system which would reduce the number
of upper respiratory infections which occur in the shelter. Dr. Ficken will write a letter of
recommendation to Public Works Director Randy Byers.
Warren Cox proposed participation in"Euthenasia 0,"a plan to eliminate euthenizing well
animals by the year 2000.
Staff recommended consideration of a higher fee for adoption which would include
spaying/neutering and all necessary shots. Dr. Ficken will advise staff what the cost for
these procedures would be.
