Before discussion took plate, Mr. Jim Haskell, 1427 1=1orta Bella Court, Arlington,
repre-tinting 'Mr. Porter, entered. He described the property in question and stated the
iequesf. is Lo change the 301 foot: strip of C--2 on the northern portion of these tracts
Pdjacent to W. Euless Blvd. to I-1.. The southern portion of these tract: is currently
Toned 1-1. He pointed out that the buildings on the property were designed and used
as a light industrial case, i.e., trucking company, and since the property is no longer
under a non conformi:q industrial case, they request that the property be rezoned to
allow sarrie.
]-here being no additional proponents or opporients, Chairman Deithloff closed the
pukiic hearing.
Mr. Tyson stated his concern over some of the uses allowed in l-l.
Mr. L.v i.ch shared ]vlr.. .T.yson's concern. He felt the request is compati0le with the
Future. Land Use Plan and did not think the C-2 strip zoning is reasonable now.
The remaining Corny nissiori members were in agreement.. Mr. Lynch made a to
recommend approval of Z.C. #8Z.-Ol as submitted.
Mr. P-?cMillon seconded the rnotion, and a vote is as follows:
Ayes: Messrs. Lynch, MclAillon, Hill, f yson, and Deithloff
-Jays: None
r-nairman Deithloff declared the motion carried.
Several of the rnernbers mentioned they liked the new nurribering system of the zoning
cases.
II.
MISCEL-LANEOUS UPDATE
After welcoming the high sct-iuol students in the audience., Mr. 'might stated tl a-t Stal.
has been working for several months on updating the inning Ordinances and plans to
have meetings in the near future to review drafts of the proposed Zoning Ordinances
to i:ir'ing tt-ie current Ordinances up to date So that they will be easier to Un terstand
and administer. nark prepared to date was developed based on the impressions
received +diiuring the adoption of the Funire Land Use Plan. Mr. Knight distributed a
ni+e-rno frof-n Senior Planc:er, Mark Sweeney explaining the process.
'Ar, Lynch expressed his approval of the new method used In preparing the Planning &
Zoning packets.
