rev tri tion that signs ::cannot be placed closer than 100 feet to other pole
signs. The only advertising sign they currently have is the wall sign
located on the front of the building which does not draw attention to the
business, They requested a free standing pole ;.5gn., 183 sq. _t. and -1,5'
high to be located at the rear of the lot.
Chairman ingram, asked for any additional proponents. There being none, he
asked for any opponents.

Mr. Frank Douglass, owner of a business at 218 N. fain :street, inquired as
to the height of the Sonic sign. He also stated that Church's should be
entitled to a sign, but it should not necessarily`2y bF. the largest on
that area.
Mr. `i`y:_e.r noted that the Brai_ur's sign was 126 sq. ft. and 25' high. 1.1e
also explained that the current sign ordinance allows a maximum 50 sq. ft.

Mr. David Siedal, 204 Salem, objected to the request stating that several

requested would be the most prominent thing in his view.
Mr. Mike Dunn, 205 Salem, stated his objections to a lighted sign being on
all night, and the fact that Church's Chicken sho-ild have gone more
planning before building.
Pal.,% Rod Sursuiiers, 207 Salem, stated that the proposed sign wo—aid be five
feet from his property. He also read a letter fr-om. a rea.i.tor (copy not
provided) stating that the sign ;amld cause depreciation of his Home of
$2-3,000. He :lid not object to a sign along N. Main Street, but felt the
proposed sign was geared toward re:achiP,'.3, traffic travelling S.H. 183.

Several of the Commissioners stated concern about: the .impact a sign of this

After additional discussion by the C.'.ol:i'":t15s:1oners, Mr. Bartean withdrew the
request and stated a new £applic:3:`::_Eon Ltrt;: ld be resubmitted.
REPORTS
There were no reports to be discussed.
The Commissioners expressed t:.ileir gratitude and appreciation to Mr.
Sustaire, for the job he has done over the years in Euless.
