MINUTES
May 9 , 1994
Members Present: Weldon Cannon, Diana Crawford, Geri Donworth, Mazie Eden,
Betty Fuller, Evelyn Himes, Iva Nail, Robert Nail , Jean
Whitener, and Nina Winters.
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 10: 15 a.m.
Minutes: The minutes were approved with the addition of Evelyn
Himes name to the list of those present at the April
meeting.
I. 1994 PROJECTS - MEMBERS REPORTS
A. ARBOR DAZE BOOTH
The Committee recognized the support of the following groups and
individuals:
1 . City of Euless-Rick Herold and Julia Wakeley
2. United Daughters of the Confederacy
3 . Mid-Cities Genealogical Society
4 . National Society of the Daughters of 1812
5. Norma Lively-donation of watercolor
6 . Robert Nail-frame
7 . Bill Byers-gift(art portfolio) for Norma Lively
8 . David Allen-maps
9 . Residents who shared antiques
The committee discussed developing a population index map for
display at the 1995 celebration and the possibility of finding a
source who would provide notecards and/or postcards depicting local
sites (Ironbridge, etc. ) to be sold in 1995.
Gross receipts for the sale of watercolor tickets and photos
totaled: $906 . 00 cash

Expenditures: $ 22 .50 Flowers for Norma Lively
87 .50 Reproduction of the photos purchased
The total net proceeds from the sale of watercolor tickets totaled:
$945.49 . The money will be allocated for historical markers.
B. MEMBER REPORTS:
1 . Jean Whitener reported the cost of 5 X 7 photos was $2 . 50.
2 . Nina Winter reported that newspapers would be enclosed in the
Time Capsule to be buried at the site of old Ironbridge.
3 . Weldon Cannon reported on his attendance at the Minter's
Chapel Cemetery Reunion.
4 . Geri Donworth will contact Jennifer Clark, Congresswoman
Hutchinson's liaison regarding a grant.

II. MEETING SCHEDULE:
A. Diana Crawford reported that summer meetings could be suspended by
the vote of the committee. Special meetings could be called at any
time.
Robert Nail made the motion to suspend meetings until September.
Nina Winter seconded the motion. The motion was passed
unanimously. The next scheduled meeting will be the second Monday
in September.
III. OLD BUSINESS:
A. Diana Crawford will submit a letter recommending changing the name
of West Haven Street to Dock McGinnis Drive.
IV. NEW BUSINESS:
A. Diana Crawford announced that the subject of moving the Fuller
House would be discussed at the Tuesday, May 10th City Council
Meeting.
B. The Grapevine Calaboose Celebration was announced.
The meeting was adjourned at 11: 26 p.m.
