I. OLD BUSINESS
A. Member Reports
1. Old Iron Bridge - Nina Winters brought the Iron
Bridge Time Capsule materials to the meeting and left
them with Julia Wakeley for burial at the site of the
bridge.
2. Historical Memorabilia - Jean Whitener contacted Vada
Johnson to request Mosier Valley photos. Vada asked
members of St. John's Baptist Church to contribute
photos to be loaned to the Committee for processing
of negatives for our Euless historical photo file.
Photos will be returned to contributors. Jean and
Evelyn Mimes visited the home of Robert Jernigan to
"borrow" the 1903 Euless School Memory Book; however,
Mr. Jernigan prefers not to loan the book, but rather
to have copies made for the Historical Preservation
Committee.

Diana Crawford requested that completion of Fuller
House restoration projects be given higher priority.
The project was initiated in October of 1994. A
Fuller House update insert will be placed in Euless
water bills when the project nears completion.
Discussion centered on brickwork - cleaning and
stacking bricks. This preliminary work must be
addressed. Teen Court youths may stack brick.
4. Adam Euless Historical Marker Placement - City
Staffer Bo Bass displayed city complex maps. The
committee discussed the best location for the Adam
Euless Marker. Bo will serve as liaison between the
city and the committee to determine the location of
the marker. Weldon gave the state application forms
and information regarding marker placement
regulations to Mr. Bass.
5. Adam Euless Marker - Weldon Cannon distributer copies
of the Adam Euless history to members. There is no
doubt the comprehensive and detailed document will
be well received by the State Historical Commission.
Weldon recommended the purchase of the 27 x 42 inch
large marker. Currently there is $4000.00 in
Historical Preservation Committee fund dedicated for
historical marker purchases and placement. This
marker will be purchased subsequent to approval of
the marker application by the State Historical
Commission.
Geri Donworth's motion seconded by Nina Winters
authorizing the expenditure of up to $850.00 to
purchase a 27 x 42 inch marker from the state was
passed unanimously.
Weldon Cannon will now focus his efforts on the
application information for the Euless 1st United
Methodist Church historical marker. Discussion
ensued regarding the impact of the forced relocation
of the church (expansion of Airport Freeway and right
of way acquisition) on marker application plans.
6. Diana Crawford elicited information regarding the
status of the tentative offer to donate the 15 acres
(Mosier Valley) Wisenbaker Trust plot to the
Historical Commission. At an August City Council
meeting, the city council approved accepting the land
as a gift to the city. Diana Crawford asked Julia
Wakeley to channel through a request that as Chairman
of the Euless Historical Preservation Committee, she
be sent copies of City Council meeting agendas. Geri
