November 11, 1996
The November 11, 1996 meeting of Euless Historical
Preservation Committee was called to order by Chairperson Diana
Crawford at 7:05 p.m. following the Boards and Commissions
meeting at the Midway Recreation Center.
Members Present
Robert Nail, Iva Nail, Geri Donworth, Nina Winters, Betty
Fuller, Weldon Cannon, Bill Byers, Vada Johnson, Jean Whitener,
Willie Mae McCormick, Helen Payton and Troy Fuller
Staff Members Present
Rick Herold, Director of Community Services
Approval of Minutes
Minutes of the October 14, 1996 meeting were approved as
submitted.
Diana Crawford introduced Troy Fuller, new chairman of the
Historical Preservation Committee.
I. Old Business
A. Chairman Fuller distributed information from Internet
regarding Fuller House and other information regarding City
of Euless.
B. Fuller House Update
Bill Byers reported that all siding is now finished.
Lone Star Gas personnel is checking gas line, Texas Power
and Light will install underground cable at no charge and
the electrician has installed the circuit panel. Wrought
iron fence will have to be re-bid because of addition of 100
feet.
A friend of Bill Byers is prepared to donate a leaded
glass insert for the window over the porch of the Fuller
House. Bill and Iva Nail will work with him on design.
C. Elisha Adam Euless Marker
Weldon Cannon has sent two letters to 40 - 50 people
asking for information regarding the Adam Euless Family.
Betty Yarbrough is planning a display in the library.
Rick Herold and Diana Crawford will meet to discuss
marker change.
Dedication tentatively set for third Sunday in January
1997.

II. New Business
A. Robert and Iva Nail and Helen Payton will try to obtain a
car for the Historical Committee to use in the Parade,
December 14, 1996.
B. The December 9, 1996 meeting will be a covered dish lunch.
All members please bring a covered dish.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m. .
