Minutes
July 14, 1997
The July 14, 1997 meeting of Euless Historical Preservation
Committee was called to order by Chairman Troy Fuller at 10:15
a.m. in the Conference Room #1, Building A, 201 North Ector
Drive.
Members Present
Willie Mae McCormick, Iva Nail, Evelyn Himes, Betty Fuller,
Vada Johnson, Jean Whitener, Geri Sorg, Robert Nail , Weldon
Cannon, Helen Payton and Troy Fuller
Staff Present
Ray McDonald, Projects Supervisor
Approval of Minutes
Motion was made by Betty Fuller and seconded by Geri Sorg to
approve minutes of the June 9, 1997 meeting after correction to
show the following persons present at that meeting: Bill Byers,
Weldon Cannon, Diana Crawford, Willie Mae McCormick, Iva Nail,
Robert Nail and Helen Payton.
I. Old Business
A. Fuller House Update
Ray McDonald reported the electrical meter has been
installed.
B. Deacon House
Troy Fuller contacted Bill Deacon and Mr. Deacon has not yet
received approval from all other members of the Deacon
family regarding moving the Deacon House to Euless.
C. Diana Crawford Report
There was no report - Mrs. Crawford was unable to attend the
meeting.
D. Other Business
Jean Whitener reported on photo additions and displayed
photo album.
II. New Business
A. Nominations for replacement of Nina Winters

Committee members did not have any names to submit to City
Council. Chairman Fuller will check with Mayor Saleh and
Susan Crim for names and report at the August meeting.
B. Gene Schrickel's Report on Wisenbacker Property
Gene Schrickel has been to the Wisenbacker Property and has
put his staff to work to see what their ideas might be for
use of this property. Bell Helicopter has gotten a 120 ft
maximum height on radio towers in that area - this is one of
the uses that has been discussed for that area. No word
from Mr. Schrickel yet.
C. August Meeting at Fuller House
Chairman Fuller will check with Bill Byers and if the air
conditioning is working, the Historical Committee will have
their August Meeting at the Fuller House.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 a.m. .
