Evelyn Himes, Weldon Cannon, Mazie Eden, Betty Fuller, Vada
Johnson, Billy Byers,
Diana Crawford, Jean Whitener, Willie Mae McCormick, Iva Nail, Robert Nail, Troy Fuller and Helen Payton

Approval of Minutes
Minutes of the September 10 , 1997 meeting were approved as
presented. The Committee did not meet in October.
I. Old Business
A. Fuller House
1. Bill Byers has talked with the man doing the sheetrock
and he plans to finish sheetrocking this week (week of
Nov. 10. )
2. Committee discussed projects to be done when sheetrock
is completed.
a. electrical outlet in dining room ceiling moved
b. ceilings to be very lightly textured
c. trim painted
d. floors sanded
e. ceramic tile for kitchen counters - Robert Nail and
Bill Byers have volunteered to install tile
f . plumber to install new kitchen sink and new commodes
in bathrooms
g. wallpaper living room, dining room and breakf ordered
room - Iva Nail reported wallpaper
h. get price for wooden blinds for all windows
i. linoleum for kitchen and breakfast room
j . new doors for front - these are 7.0 doors - will
check with Old Home Supply for this size door
k. remove temporary electrical pole from front yard
1. level yard - Bill Byers will check with Harvey
Little about spreading dirt - Parks Dept has not
been able to help because of work at the Texas Star
3 . Diana Crawford reported that Sally Andrews of the

Grapevine Historical Society had received a call from
Paul and Terri Matthews of Euless wishing to donate a
sofa. Ms. Andrews suggested that they call the Euless
Historical Preservation Committee since they lived in
Euless. Diana Crawford, Iva Nail and Robert nail
accepted the beautiful sofa that is very similar to
the sofa the Fullers had in the living room. The sofa
has been another Hlocationh committee

workers are in the house.
4. The Historical Committee discussed having a preview
party at the Fuller House for donors and volunteers in
May or June. Special invitations will be mailed to
this group. The City is planning

June and the Mayor has suggested
be on this tour. Invitations to the City Open House
will be mailed with the water bills.
B. Himes House
Chairman Fuller and Craig Melde of Archi-Texas met at the
Himes House. Mr. Melde's preliminary thoughts are that the
house should be left as is. He stated that it has a history
of about 60 years of Texas building. Evelyn Himes brought a
history of the Himes House which Chairman Fuller will pass
on to Mr. Melde. Mr. Melde will submit a report and present
his thoughts on what might be done with the house.
C. Diana Crawford's Report
Historical markers on Highway 157 (north and south) and
Highway 183 (east and west) have been installed
Letter received from the Tandy Corporation stating they
could not grant our request for a computer for the Fuller
House. They have received more requests than their
contributor's budget can accommodate. No response from Best
Buy or Comp USA
Unable to meet with Dee Barker about display cases
Still working on newsletter to be mailed with water bill
D. Committee Members' Reports
Weldon Cannon is working on the Boyd Family History.
Jean Whitener is working on photo history for the museum.
Mrs. McCormick announced there are three display cases of
Mr. McCormick's memorabilia in the Euless Library.

Troy Fuller has talked with Gene Schrickle about Trinity
Property. Mr. Schrickle suggested waiting for information
on Fort Worth's billboard ordinance before preceding with
ideas.
Troy Fuller announced that Don Tharp of 1112 David Drive in
Euless, has been appointed to the Historical Preservation
Committee.
Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 11:35 a.m. . (Delicious refreshments
were furnished by Iva Nail.
