Minutes
June 8, 1998
The June 8, 1998 meeting of the Euless Historical
Preservation Committee was called to order by Chairman Troy
Fuller at 10:00 a.m. in the Conference Room #1, Building A, 201
North Ector Drive.
Members Present
Vada Johnson, Helen Lightbody, Willie Mae McCormick, Diana
Crawford, Nell Hicks, Iva Nail , Betty Fuller, Weldon Cannon,
Robert Nail, Don Tharp, Helen Payton and Troy Fuller
Staff Present
Parks and Leisure Services Manager Julia Wakeley
Visitor Present
City Councilmember Leon Hogg
Approval of Minutes
Minutes of May 11, 1998 meeting corrected to show member Don
Tharp present, not Don Ward.
I. Old Business
A. Fuller House Update
1 . Diana Crawford will make cards for items not identified
in museum and will make index and photos of all items
donated or on loan.
2 . An estimate of items in the Fuller House is needed.
3 . A sign is needed on Highway 10 showing directions to
the museum.
4 . A sign is needed inside of the house listing donors and
the large sign outside needs to be removed.
5. A four drawer filing cabinet is needed for upstairs to
keep records.
6. Chairman Fuller will check with the City Council to see
if funds are available for renovating upstairs this
fall. This area is needed for storage of donated items
and records.
7. The Committee discussed having Historical Committee
meetings at the Fuller House.
8. The Committee discussed pursuing establishment of a
Historical Society.
9. The Committee discussed plans to have an open house
Saturday, October 24 , 1998 from 10 : 00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Additional plans will be made at the September meeting.

B. Rules for Renting
1 . The Committee suggested the following fees for renting
the Fuller House:
$500.00 Deposit
$60.00 for three hours
$30 .00 for each additional hour
Chairman Fuller will meet with council for approval.
III. New Business
Summer Vacation - The Historical Committee will not meet in
July and August. The next meeting will be September 14, 1998 .
Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 11: 30 a.m. .
