Minutes
October 12, 1998
The October 12 , 1998 meeting of the Euless Historical
Preservation Committee was called to order by Chairman Troy
Fuller at 10: 30 a.m. at the Fuller House, 203 Cullum Drive.
Members Present
Willie Mae McCormick, Robert Nail, Iva Nail, Weldon Cannon,
Nell Hicks, Bill Byers, Diana Crawford, Helen Payton and Troy
Fuller
Staff Present
Parks & Leisure Services Manager Julia Wakeley
Approval of Minutes
Minutes of September 14, 1998 meeting were approved as
presented.
I. Old Business
A. Fuller House
1 . City Account - Balance of Budgeted Funds
A balance of $2671.00 is in the budgeted account from
the City. Nothing was budgeted by the City for the
current year.
2 . Contributions Account - Chairman Fuller reported a
balance of $10,267.13 from contributions, Arbor Daze,
note cards, etc. making a total of $12.938 .13 in both
accounts.
II. New Business
A. Fuller House Museum
1 . Purchase of Additional Display Cases
The Committee discussed the need for an additional
display case. Diana Crawford will check on sizes
available and order size needed.
2 . Purchase of Additional Furniture
a. Committee agreed to purchase additional venetian
blinds needed for the Fuller House. Approximate
cost will be $600.00 to $700.00 . Helen Payton
will order.
b. Julia Wakeley will check to see if a legal size,
fire proof, with lock file cabinet is available.
This file cabinet is needed to store records of
documented items in the Fuller House.
c. Diana Crawford will check with schools regarding
an obsolete computer that might be used at the
Fuller House.

B. Other New Business
1. Fuller House Rules & Regulations
Julia Wakeley presented information from other
historical locations and a copy of the Facility
Reservation and Rental and Procedures from the City of
Euless. The committee reviewed this information and
agreed that the deposit with food and drink would be
$250.00 for residents and non-residents with the
following additions:
a. No charge for educational purposes
b. No charge for non-profit organizations (one
meeting per year)
c. Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult
chaperon
d. House will be supervised by a member of the
Historical Committee
e. Reserve the right to take reservations before the
Historical Committee for special requests
f. Fire Marshall will determine number of occupants
allowed
g. No decorations
h. Trash taken to dumpster
i. House to be left in order
2 . City Attorney will check to see if a 501C status is
needed for the Fuller House.
3 . Bill Byers has volunteered to install a flood light
with timer on the leaded glass window above the front
porch.
4 . Historical Committee agreed to have the Fuller House
open the second Saturday of each month for four hours
(1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ) beginning in January of 1999.
Diana Crawford will get designs for a sign to be placed
on the fence in front of the fuller House with this
information and notices will be sent with the water
bill.
5. Diana Crawford announced that she is resigning from the
Historical Board because of work and family but would
like to be head volunteer for the Historical
Preservation Committee.

The meeting was adjourned at 11: 30 a.m. .
