November 8, 1999
The November 8, 1999 meeting of the Euless Historical
Preservation Committee was called to order by Vice-Chairman
Weldon Cannon at 10 : 10 a.m. at the Fuller House, 203 Cullum
Drive.
Members Present
Weldon Cannon, Diana Crawford, Betty Fuller, Troy Fuller, Evelyn
Himes, Vada Johnson, Helen Lightbody, Willie Mae McCormick, Iva
nail, Robert Nail, Helen Payton and Jean Whitener
Staff Present
Julia Wakeley, Parks and Leisure Services
Approval of Minutes
Helen Lightbody made a motion to approve the minutes of the
October 11, 1999 meeting, Iva Nail seconded, motion carried.
I. Old Business
A. Fuller House
1 . Betty Fuller has reviewed the Fuller House brochure and
returned it to the city for printing.
2 . A new "Wish List" is being printed for the Fuller
House.
3 . Diana Crawford will work on labeling items in the
Museum.
4 . Weldon Cannon has prepared an information sheet on the
Fuller family history, Fuller House location and how
the house was saved. This information sheet will be
available to guests visiting the house.
5. Committee discussed decorating the house for Christmas .
Betty Fuller will donate a Christmas tree and Diana
Crawford will decorate .
6. Julia Wakeley has received a call about having a
wedding at the Fuller House on New Years Day. Several
members of the committee have volunteered to be
available if a wedding is scheduled.
7 . Diana Crawford made a motion, seconded by Betty Fuller,
to cancel the open house in December. Motion carried.
B. Himes House
1 . It was reported that the owners of the Himes property
have decided they will actively seek other buyers if
the city is not interested.

2 . Betty Fuller made a motion to appoint Troy Fuller to be
liaison to meet with city officials to see if there
will be any support for moving the Himes House and also
to research the project. Iva Nail seconded, motion
passed.
C. Parade
The committee discussed entering a float in the Parade of
Lights, no action was taken.
II . New Business
December 13, 1999 meeting
There will be a potluck dinner after the meeting.
Adjournment
Troy Fuller made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 11 : 40 a.m.
Robert Nail seconded, meeting adjourned.
