A motion was made to approve the minutes of the December 13, 1999
meeting, motion was seconded, motion carried.
I. Old Business
A. Himes House
1 . Troy Fuller has met with Mayor Mary Lib Saleh and City
Manager Joe Hennig and presented information relative
to the Himes House. He gave them the information
provided by the two men, one in Ponder and the other in
Hico. He left their business cards with them. Mayor
Saleh and Joe Hennig seemed to favor relocation of the
house to be near the Fuller House. They had hoped to
get this item on the Agenda for the Council meeting in
January, if possible.
2 . Bill Byers said he would contact a house mover to see
if the house could be moved. Discussion was held as to
the location of the Himes House at the Fuller site. It
would appear to be preferable to be south of the
present Fuller House and the current iron fence
surrounding the Fuller House could be extended. Bill
Byers is also looking into the possibility of obtaining
a windmill and an old tractor.
B. Fuller House
1 . New attractive brochures were received and are
available for distribution in areas of good access and
visibility, such as the Library, City stands and
possibly public schools .

2 . Weldon Cannon related some concern about a historical
marker at the school which is being demolished south of
Hwy. 10 on Main Street . He will follow up with the
proper people to assure that the marker is not
destroyed.
II. New Business
A. Museum Items
Discussion was held regarding the care of museum items . All
museum items, whether donated or "on loan" need proper care
to preserve them and display them for years to come. Items
within the cabinets should be kept locked. Signs need to be
placed reminding visitors not to touch or handle items on
display. Docents should be particularly careful when
curious children are visiting the museum and are without
proper supervision. A letter giving the history of the
Fullers will be made available for visitors .
B. Discussion was also held relative to the unsightly
conditions in and surrounding the Calloway Cemetary.
c. A question was asked as to what happened to the computer
that funds were donated for.
C. Robert and Iva Nail will be docents in February.
