A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EULESS ADOPTING THE TARRANT
COUNTY HAZARD MITIGATION ACTION PLAN, JANUARY 2020.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless recognizes the threat that natural
hazards pose to people and property within Tarrant County; and
WHEREAS, Tarrant County has prepared a multi-hazard mitigation plan, hereby
known as Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, January 2020, in accordance
with the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000; and
WHEREAS, Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, January 2020,
identifies mitigation goals and actions to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to people and
property in the City of Euless from the impacts of future hazards and disasters; and
WHEREAS, adoption by the City of Euless demonstrates their commitment to the
hazard mitigation and achieving the goals outlined in the Tarrant County Hazard
Mitigation Action Plan, January 2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
In accordance with the Charter of the City of Euless, the City Council adopts the
Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, January 2020, on file with the Euless
Police Department.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
January 14, 2020, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 _ nays, and 0 abstentions.
