A RESOLUTION RESCHEDULING THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL
MEETING IN AUGUST 2020 FROM TUESDAY, AUGUST 25, 2020 TO
MONDAY, AUGUST 24, 2020
WHEREAS, State law establishes specific deadlines for the adoption of the budget
and tax rate; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a FY2020-2021 budget cycle that
conforms to the requirements of State law; and
WHEREAS, the approved budgetary schedule conflicts with the dates of regularly
scheduled council meetings for the city council consideration of the FY2020-2021 budget
and tax rate ordinances; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 00-1058 was approved to provide for the rescheduling of
a Regular City Council Meeting to a date other than the second or fourth Tuesday of the
month.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
The regularly scheduled City Council Meeting to be held on Tuesday, August 25,
2020, has been rescheduled to Monday, August 24, 2020, to accommodate the adoption
of the FY2020-2021 budget in accordance with State law.
SECTION 2.
The City Secretary shall cause to be published this notice of rescheduled meeting
at least one time in the official newspaper of the city.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
January 14, 2020, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
