Old Business
Heritage Park Christmas Event:
Discussion was held indicating the event was fun and should be
continued and improved upon for next year.
Glenda Hartsell said the City' s primary goal in this event was to
make the public aware of and see these houses . The time of year
for the even was good. It is an event that interests all ages
and we should program throughout this year in advance for the
2001 event.
A suggestion was made by Jean Whitener that the loft of the Himes
Log House be closed off to prevent access by visitors . Bill
Byers mentioned a rope bed is available and a corn shook mattress
will be provided. The homes survived the cold weather with no
pipes broken. The commode in Himes Log Cabin needs special care

sign. Photos that Gary McKamie has will be preserved and made
available for viewing. Weldon Cannon is working on the history
of the Himes Log House. A suggestion was made that the Committee
visit the Fort Worth Log Cabin Village .
