Approval of Minutes
Corrections were made to the February 12, 2001 meeting minutes by
Michelle Burgers as follows : (1) include the Title Deputy City
Manager" after Gary McKamie' s name in the last paragraph, page 1
and (2) delete the sentence which reads as follows : "The proposal
will need to be discussed with Rick Herold to determine any
liability that may be involved."
Willa Mae McCormick made a motion, seconded by Betty Fuller that
the minutes of February 12, 2001 be approved with the above
corrections. The motion passed.
Old Business
Jimmy Beck discussed the types of vegetables, medieval herbs,
etc. that could be planted in the proposed garden at the Himes
Log House. These include potatoes, cotton, mint, lemon balm,
rosemary, camphor, sumac tree, etc.
Discussion was held to have the Committee visit the Dallas
Arboretum. A date was set for March 20th. Committee members
will meet at the Fuller House at 9: 30 a.m. and leave for Dallas
at 10 : 00 a.m. Michelle Burger will contact the members who were

Jimmy Beck and Jimmy Hunsuckle mapped off an area that would be
best for the garden at the rear of the Himes Log House.
Bill Byers mentioned that he has access to a feather bed and that
an outhouse may be available to be placed behind the Himes Log
House.
New Business:
Iva Nail will send note cards to people who make donations to the
homes . Also, she suggested that the names of contributors should
be listed in the homes .
Robert Nail said that we are still looking for someone to repair
the organ.
Further discussion was held as to the demonstration activities to
be held when we have school classes that visit the homes in the
Year 2002 . Committee members will need to get volunteers for
these demonstrations . Betty Fuller is coordinating this effort
with the Euless elementary schools .
Leon Hogg suggested that this project should be limited to once a
year.
Glenda Hartsell said the Fort Worth Star Telegram would list our
activities and the "Euless Today" publication would include
information on activities at the Fuller House and Himes Log House
starting with the Summer Edition.
Troy Fuller and Leon Hogg have volunteered to work on programs
for the computer. Once the data is assembled, this should be a
valuable tool for the Committee.
Docents for April 9, 2001 will be Iva and Robert Nail. Iva Nail
suggested that we have a sign made indicating that no food or
drinks are to be brought into the homes .
Adjournment
Jean Whitener made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Robert
Nail . Meeting was adjourned at 11 : 45 a.m.
