Old Business
1. Discussion was held reviewing the history of the genealogy section in the Euless Library.
_-_
Weldon Cannon mentioned that the Mid Cities Genealogy Society which covers a large area of
Tarrant County, meets at the City of Euless Library. We have an asset in Euless and need to
encourage the Genealogy Department. Space is being provided for this purpose.
2. Thank you notes have been sent to the contributors of the activities provided for the benefit of
the 31d Graders' tour of the Fuller and Himes Homes on February 26, 2002. Notes were sent
to Jay C. Seals, Rhonda Duhon, Walter Fisher, Nina Sampson, Kathy Clark and Cynthia
Bohnenblust.
3. Iva Nail mentioned that Cynthia Bohnenblust would be available to demonstrate weaving if we
set up an appointment with her.
New Business
1. Glenda Hartsell mentioned that the students from South Euless Elementary School would be at
Heritage Park from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16. There will be some 120

and Iva Nail, Troy Fuller and Michelle Burger have volunteered to be available to show the
homes.
2. Weldon Cannon has selected a group of 35 photos and he, with the help of Patty, are preparing
a computerized program which covers approximately 30 to 40 minutes. They reflect the
history of Euless, such as the plane crash, Bedford Basketball team, etc. He will present this
program to the Committee on May 13, 2002.
3. Iva NO received numerous letters from 4th graders thanking the Committee on the program
presented during their tour of the Fuller and Himes Homes. The letters were very interesting.
4. Glenda Hartsell mentioned that Rick Herold is reviewing the application for"Visionaries in
Preservation Program."
5. Troy Fuller discussed concerns with the utilization of the computer. He would like the work
already completed to become part of the City of Euless Web Page. It appears that to
accomplish this is not difficult but has not been done to date. Craig Ward volunteered to
contact Rick Herold and work with him to accomplish this effort. This will put the computer
to better advantage. Discussion was held on preparing a disk.
6. Troy Fuller recommended that we keep the Homes open on Saturday even in the summer
months when we do not meet as a committee. The committee favored this suggestion and
volunteers to be docents for the month of May are Dan and Michelle Burger. June—Iva and
Robert Nail. July—Troy Fuller and August—Weldon Cannon.
7. Glenda Hartsell gave a report on the April Trash Off. 100 people volunteered to pick up trash
on Hwy 10 and Bear Creek Park. The Arbor Daze program is in full scale with super
entertainers. Three radio stations are participating. Coupon from the Euless Today magazine
can be redeemed for_free_parking_at the Raven's Grille.-Anyone wanting to-volunteer-should
