have a balance of$4031.06.
Approval of Minutes
Weldon Cannon motioned for approval of the minutes from the May 13th meeting. Craig Ward
seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Old Business
1. A prospective customer requested a viewing of Fuller House in preparation for an upcoming
wedding. Robert Nail volunteered to be available for this purpose.
2. Robert and Iva Nail reported two women and two children visited Fuller House and the Himes
Log House during the June Open House.
3. The signs relative to the houses being open were up.
4. Robert and Iva mentioned that the chink on the Himes Log House needs to be repaired.
New Business
1. Iva Nail requested that the Committee consider providing either stepping stones of a cement
path to the front side of the Fuller House. She felt it would be more appropriate for visitors to
enter the Fuller House through the front entrance instead of the rear kitchen. Bill Byers said

he would get with Rick Herold to see what could be done.
2. CITY OF EULESS, 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Glenda Hartsell asked the Committee for suggestions of things to do to promote activities for
this 2002 Heritage Park Christmas celebration.
a. Betty Fuller suggested planting pumpkins in the garden.
b. It was also suggested that the excellent program Weldon Cannon and Patty Benoit
presented to our Committee in May, 2002, would also be an effective presentation
during the anniversary activities. This film could be edited for this purpose and
would be worthwhile for this program.
c. Another suggestion was that pictures showing the actual moving of Fuller House
and Himes Log House to its current location would be an interesting presentation
as well.
d. Diana Crawford brought some tapes she had of the Homes that may be used as
additional material to place on film.
3. Weldon Cannon mentioned that he visited a reunion in Tennessee and he still had nephews
there he was able to visit with.
4. Bill Byers informed the Committee members that Willie Mae McCormick received the
"Volunteer of the Year Award". She shared with the Committee some of her earlier
experiences prior to becoming Council Member. She thanked the Committee for their
support.
5. The Committee members indicated that they were not surprised that she received this award.
She has contributed much time and money to all areas of the city.
Adjournment
Bill Byers adjourned the meeting at 12:00 noon.
Helen and Jim Payton served a beautiful luncheon to the group and it was most enjoyable. Many
thanks to the Paytons for their hospitality.
Respectfully submitted by
Helen Lightbody
