New Business
1. Committee members expressed concerns regarding the loss of artifacts due to possible
fire or some such act of nature. Various committee members inquired whether the City
has insurance on the Museum and whether there are records of individual artifacts (and
its value) in the Museum. Because some items may be on loan to the Museum,
committee members expressed extreme concern regarding loss or damage to such items.
The following suggestions were discussed:
a. Dan Clark asked the following members to check with the following cities for
liability releases on similar situations: Robert& Iva Nail are to check with the City of
Grapevine, Betty Fuller will check with Arlington and Fort Worth, Dan Clark will
check with Abilene and Chris Jones will check with the Log Cabin Village in Fort
Worth.
b. It was further discussed that once the committee decides on a particular release form,
the City Attorney would be consulted regarding its validity and accuracy.
c. Betty Fuller brought in a folder containing pictures and descriptions of many of the
artifacts in the Museum. It was mentioned that this file needs to be updated as more
items have been added to the Museum. Concerns were expressed regarding the
amount of hours needed to update this list and save into a file.
d. Iva Nail and other committee members expressed the need for a part time employee
(4 hours a week)to help input data on all acquisitions made by the Museum whether
in the past or in the future. Dan Clark will present a motion to the full committee
requesting that a formal request be made to the City of Euless regarding the need for
said employee.
e. Bill Byers suggested the possibility of visiting other Museums to gather some
knowledge regarding how other cities handle these same concerns.
2. Committee members discussed and agreed to present a motion to the full committee
regarding set guidelines for accepting any and all donations to the Museum. Acquisition
committee members unanimously agreed that there should be a process for how
donations are accepted by the committee. Ofa"Mary"was asked to include a list of the
following types of gifts, loaned items and/or donations that the committee may deal with:
a. An unconditional gift
b. A conditional gift
c. A loan for a definite period
d. A loan for an indefinite period
e. A conditional loan
3. Mr. Byers reported that he, Ray McDonald and Gary McKamie met and measured the
barn on Willie Mae McCormick's property. Mr. Byers will measure for a possible
location for the barn in Heritage Park.
4. Betty Fuller will donate a set of silverware for the dining table display previously
discussed by the committee. Mrs. Fuller mentioned that this set once belonged to Daisy
Fuller.
5. Iva Nail has a set of dishes that once belonged to one of the Fuller women. Mrs. Nail
offered to bring the set for the dining table display previously mentioned.
6. Chris Jones donated a copy of an old Northeast Tarrant county map.

Museum. Ofa"Mary"mentioned that Suzanne Hendrickson is working on obtaining one
for the Museum.
